I just want to encourage everyone out there who is thinking of purchasing this CD/LP to please do so. Reconstruction Site is a beginning to end gorgeous, and inspiring album. The songs are diverse, musically interesting, and most of which happen to be undeniably incredible. Standout tracks are One Great City!, Hospital Vespers, Psalm For The Elks Lodge Last Call, Time's Arrows, Benediction, and Uncorrected Proofs. The other songs on this album are almost equally remarkable. John K. Samson's lyrics are extremely intelligent, sensitive, and honest. He is able to set a mood so effortlessly, and often with just a few short lines. This is truly one of the most original and inspiring albums I've heard in a long time. Fans of The Mountain Goats, The Replacements, and Jets To Brazil take note. High praises indeed!
