‘Cat Powered’ 20-something Canadian Twins….who could ask for more? After a lingering obsession with the Rilo Kiley “More Adventurous” CD, I’ve found my new love…and it’s Tegan & Sara “So Jealous” on Sanctuary Records. Jangley and rockin’ music, melodies to die for, lyrics that are both serious and cheeky…with the perfect amount of acoustic and electric…no bells and whistles…but plenty of shakers, and tambourine… full on, straight forward pop rock music with smart delivery…it reminds me of all the stuff I love about the female vocal and music of The KNIFE, Rilo Kiley, Cat Power, PJ Harvey, remember Voice of the Beehive? Matt Sharp (former Weezer) plays bass…
