This is the full-length debut by Mother. Gold Record LP is a brash, confident, and supremely eloquent album that celebrates the glory and decadence embodied within the true spirit of rock 'n' roll. A three piece band with a penchant for clever wordplay, Mother play all-American guitar anthems with Southern underpinnings. The CD was recorded at Ardent Studios in Memphis.

Since the release of Gold Record LP, Mother have changed their name to Menthol and are now signed to Capitol Records. Menthol's self-titled, major label debut was released in July, 1995. They've been touring constantly since that time with the likes of Better Than Ezra, Matthew Sweet, and Triple Fast Action.
