09/16/2005 Entry: "Rush vs. The Who"

I'm listening to the Rush covers disc that was released last year and their version of "The Seeker" got me thinkin'...

What band has sold more records, Rush or The Who? My first instinct is to say, "Obviously, The Who. They have been around a decade longer, they have more hits, plus, THEY'RE THE WHO!!" But, now I'm not so sure. 2112, Moving Pictures and Permanent Waves might stack up with The Who's Top 3 sellers. Can anyone help me out on this?
