09/12/2005 Entry: "Wannadies #1!!"
Well, it's been a hard slog to the top. Twenty hard months we've been working this thing and finally - FINALLY - The Wannadies "Before & After" CD has hit #1 at KTRU in Houston. It's just an unbelievable feeling to have set a goal and see it realized. I guess it wasn't really a specific goal for it to be #1 on KTRU, but wow - WOW - 20 months of work and it's really paid off. Technically, it wasn't 20 months of work by US because Team Clermont originally worked that CD to college radio but it seems they really stuck with it. Just kept pushing and pushing, even with all of the other projects they've had in the last 1.5+ years. Hats off to Bill and Helen. Hmm, when I think about it though, Bill and Helen haven't much mentioned The Wannadies since March or April 2004. But still, that set up they did was so important for what's coming now.
Seriously, what's up? Unbunny's "Snow Tires" is at #27 this week and they just added... AK-Momo's "Return to N.Y." Glad they like the Hidden Agenda but why the delay?
