03/08/2005 Entry: "Progrock.com"
This morning Largehearted Boy links to an online radio station about which I was not aware, Progrock.com. I am an out-of-the-closet Prog Rock fan (King Crimson's "In the Court of the Crimson King" is in my all-time Top 10) but I've never found a perfect resource to discover new prog albums. I'd hoped that Progrock.com could be the one. Here's a list of Recent Additions to the library:
John Tesh - Tour de France (2005-02-15)
John Tesh - Tour de France The Early Years (2005-02-15)
Jethro Tull - Crest of a Knave (2005-02-15)
Synergy - Metropolitan Suite (2005-02-15)
Synergy - Computer Experiments Vol I (2005-02-15)
Synergy - Audion (2005-02-15)
Synergy - Games (2005-02-15)
Synergy - Sequencer (2005-02-15)
Farpoint - From Dreaming To Dreaming (2005-02-13)
Daryl Stuermer - Steppin Out (2005-02-01)
Kino - Picture (2005-02-01)
Arena - Peppers Ghost (2005-02-01)
Dave Matthews Band - Under The Table and Dreaming (2005-02-01)
Dave Matthews Band - Crash (2005-02-01)
I don't think John Tesh has much progrock cred (though I should hear him before pre-judging) and a progrock station that plays Dave Matthews Band isn't a progrock station. That said, I'll give it some time and might find a new band or two to love. My progrock recommendation for the day: ANGLAGARD!
